Expelled Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Naseemuddin Siddiqui today (11 May) said that party supremo Mayawati had referred to all Muslims as traitors for not voting for the BSP in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections held two months ago.
Alleging that he and his son were expelled on false allegations, Siddiqui said that Mayawati had called him and asked him why Muslims had not voted for them before calling them traitors.
Siddiqui joined the BSP in 1988 and won his seat in the 1991 election, but lost in 1993. He bounced back in 1995 and was rewarded with a ministerial berth when Mayawati became chief minister for the first time.
