MP Man Files Police Complaint Against Twitter India's MD Over Suspension Of True Indology’s Account

The Madhya Pradesh police have been approached by a person named Shrikant Sharma to initiate action against the Managing Director of Twitter India for suspending popular twitter handle TrueIndology.
Sharma says that the account takes forward the Hindu culture and has demanded for its restoration, PTI reports.
The person also condemned the social networking company’s arbitrary action of blocking the handle as he said, “This is an attack on freedom of expression.” Virendra Jha, in-charge of Kotwali police station mentioned, “The complaint seeks that the Twitter India MD be booked for allegedly deleting the account.”
Sharma further stated, “The Twitter handle was shut by Twitter India MD Manish Maheshwari after the social media platform termed the Diwali-related content posted there as false.”
TrueIndology was involved in a debate IPS officer and Inspector-general of police Home Secretary in Karnataka D Roopa, following which he was suspended by Twitter.
The duo engaged in a war of words over the historical context of bursting crackers on the occasion of Diwali.
