The Supreme Court of India has directed the National Testing Agency (NTA) to extend the deadline of applications for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The previous deadline was about to end on 30 November 2018, as reported by The Economic Times.
The application process began on 1 November 2018 and has now been extended to 7 December 2018.
The apex court has earlier allowed aspiring students above 25 years to write the upcoming 2019 NEET UG exam but stated that the admissions of such candidates would be subject to the outcome of case and petition filed by Medical Council of India (MCI).
NEET is an entrance examination conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for students who want to study graduate, postgraduate medical or dental courses in India.
