Union Public Service Commission announced deferment of its EPFO, IES and ISSE exams and the civil services personality test via a press release on Monday (19 April).
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EO/AO), Recruitment Test, 2020 and The Personality Tests (Interviews) of the Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination 2020 and the Civil Services Examination, 2020 stand deferred due to the rise in Covid-19 cases.
EPFO exam was to be conducted on 9 May, while IES/ISS personality test was scheduled between 20-23 April, and the Civil Services 2020 personality test would have been held between 26 April and 18 June.
The commission has said that as and when dates are decided for the deferred Tests/Interviews, it will be ensured that candidates are given a notice of at least 15 days for the same.
Staff Selection Commission has also deferred the Combined Higher Secondary level exam from 20 April, saying that the fresh dates will be intimated later to the candidates.
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) cancelled the standard X exams on Monday while Class XII exams are likely to be held in First week of June.
