Reliance Jio GigaFiber has continued to slipped down in the latest Netflix Internet Service Providers (ISP) Speed Index rankings, just a time when the broadband service is expected to be launched, Telecom Talk reports.
The Netflix ISP Speed Index measures the performance of Netflix on particular ISPs. It ranks service providers in terms of speed. Reliance Jio GigaFiber had been dominating the rankings from September 2018 to April 2019, when it was dethroned by 7 Star Digital.
During the time when Jio used to top the rankings, the service used to have an consistent lead of around 0.3 points over its closest ISP. The preview service, which is reaching new cities, leading to growth in subscribers can be attributed to the loss of points for Jio GigaFiber.

Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
