Union Minister for MSME and for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday (25 September) pressed for faster decision making by the judiciary, banks and government to spur growth, create jobs and combat poverty in the nation reports Economic Times.
Holding the court in high esteem, Gadkari said that because of delay in project executions because of court orders led the contractors claiming thousands of crores from the government.
Thereafter underscoring the need for a supportive environment from the financial sector, Gadkari said that it was important for the bankers to act quickly. He said, "We need more cooperation from financial institutions. Loans are approved by banks but they are not disbursed."
Gadkari was speaking at the Economic Times CEO roundtable event and pressed that the government, banks and contractors need to work with better synergy, cooperation and communication.
