Ministers in the Uttar Pradesh government have been strictly instructed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to avoid taking trips abroad for the next six months, until the Lok Sabha Polls get over, as reported by India Today.
The decision was made during his visit to Gorakhpur for Navratri puja. He also gave added instructions to MPs and senior leaders to spend more time in their respective constituencies for a more efficient line of communication. This will help stay focused and possibly enable hundred per cent effort in order to ensure that their party performs well in the elections.
Adityanath will also be personally visiting villages in order to measure the mood of the locals and see how they are responding to schemes initiated by the government.
BJP won 71 out of the 80 seats available during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections followed by a resounding win in the state assembly elections in 2017. But the saffron party has faced reverses in by-polls, including in Gorakhpur, which Adityanath represented five times as MP.

The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
