Noida Metro’s Aqua Line, which connects Section 52 in Noida with Depo Metro station, crossing 21 stations on the way, is all set to be connected to Delhi Metro via the latter’s Botanical Garden metro station, reports Rail Analysis.
The Greater Noida Authority has given the green light to the project which will create a new metro line between the Noida Sector 142 and Botanical Garden stations. In total, the new line will consist of ten stations.
Noida Metro officials say that currently commuters of the Aqua line going between Greater Noida and Noida still have to use buses to reach Botanical Garden station if they want to go to Delhi.
“This is why the need was felt to start this new line to cater to Greater Noida and Delhi connectivity,” said Executive Director, NMRC, P D Upadhyay.
The total spending required to complete the project is approximately Rs 2,798 crore
