Kerala ministers are now set to travel abroad in efforts to mop up resources for flood relief.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at a press conference yesterday (30 August) announced the cabinet decision to send state ministers oversees to ensure their presence in coordinating fund collection efforts.

Fund collection will also be done in major Indian cities with the help of organisations. Bureaucrats and ministers will be entrusted for the same, he said on the press conference yesterday (31 August).

The Kerala government had earlier decided to appoint KPMG, one of the largest professional service companies in the world, as project consultant partner for rebuilding the state ravaged by massive floods.
