This year’s edition of Forbes India’s 30 under 30 list has seen a remarkable representation of IIT Kharagpur alumni, with 11 names being from the institute, reports India Today. All 11 are entrepreneurs but hail from a variety of disciplines within the university such as economics, computer science, mechanical engineering, etc.

Among those on the list are Keshav Prawasi, Nitin Babel and Shishir Modi, who collaborated to develop Niki.ai, an AI-enabled chatbot aimed at acting as a smart personal assistant for online shopping.

Other alumni included Kamath Vasanth, Anurag Shrivastava and Rohan Gupta, who created Smallcase, a financial platform enabling investors to purchase theme-based stock portfolios or ETFs.

Then there’s the trio of Pushkar Singh, Sudarshan Ravi and Ankit Parasher, who are behind the startup LetsTransport, which deals with intra-city logistics in the city of Bengaluru.

Also included in the list are Pranav Goel and Uttam Digga, whose company Resfeber Labs & Porter also provides intra-city logistics support through mini trucks.

Pushkar Singh of LetsTransport expressed his pride in this year’s achievement. "We are all into entrepreneurship and this is in large part because of the training we received in IIT Kharagpur, its extra-curricular activities and the network we developed in college," he stated.

Director of IIT Kharagpur, Prof P P Chakrabarti, commended the performance of the 11 alumni and praised them for keeping the institute’s flag flying high.
