Odisha government's global tender for procurement of 3.8 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses has received two bids, reports Livemint.

However, the names of the bidders for the global Covid-19 vaccine tender by the state are yet to be revealed.

The state had issued the global tender through the Odisha State Medical Corporation Limited (OSMCL). As per a notification issued by OSMCL, the price bids will be opened on 9 June at 11.30am. Following this, the order of half of the total quantity will be awarded to the L1 bidder, from whom the lowest quotation would be received.

It should be noted that the deadline to submit the bids was earlier set at 28 May. However, following Cyclone Yaas, the deadline was pushed ahead to 4 June.

As per the tender documents, the selected bidder will have to deliver the first 75 lakh doses in 30 days from the date of the purchase order, and complete the supply of 3.8 crore doses in 120 days.

For the same, the state government will offer an advance payment of up to 30 per cent of the value of each purchase order while the final payment will be ensured within two working days from the date of receipt of each consignment.
