US President Donald Trump (Pic Via Twitter)
US President Donald Trump in a tweet on Wednesday (4 November) called out what he describes as "surprise ballot dumps" for being the reason for him now trailing in key states in the 2020 US Presidential race.
Trump in his tweet claimed that while he was solidly leading in many key states which are mostly Democrat run and controlled, his leads started to "magically disappear as surprise ballot dumps were counted". Trump has described it as "very strange".
While he did not name the states in question, Trump was leading in states like Wisconsin and Michigan before the leads flipped in Joe Biden's favour during late night counting. Both the states have Democrat governors, which possibly alludes to Trump's "Democrat run and controlled" phrase.
In a subsequent tweet, Trump has raised questions on mail in ballots by asking the reason for their alleged one sided nature.
"How come every time they count Mail-In ballot dumps they are so devastating in their percentage and power of destruction?", Trump tweeted.
Trump has already announced that he will be going to the US Supreme Court over what he alleges to be "fraud being committed on the American public".
"This is a fraud on the American public. This is an embarrassment to our country. Frankly we did win this election.", said Trump.
Trump in an earlier tweet had also claimed that his opponents are trying to "steal the election".
