Pakistan’s Style Of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’? Indian Sikh Pilgrims Shown Pro-Khalistan Posters At Nankana Sahib

Over 3,000 Sikh Jatha (pilgrims) left for Pakistan on the occasion of Guru Nanak Dev’s 549th birthday. The pilgrims were reportedly ‘welcomed’ by Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (PSGPC) with pro-Khalistan posters and slogans.
According to Times of India’s sources, Pakistan’s Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) and PSGPC had displayed the posters eulogising Khalistan with photographs of PSGPC’s controversial general secretary Gopal Singh Chawala and Sikh For Justice legal advisor Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, who are running the anti-India ‘Referendum 2020’ movement, which seeks Punjab’s separation from rest of India.
The pro-Khalistan slogans were opposed by the Indian Sikh, and it is claimed that there was a function held to promote the Sikh-Muslim fraternity in Pakistan. A joint service was held at Gurudwara Nanakana Sahib to celebrate the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad on Eid Milad-un-Nabi.
There is a possibility that Pakistan’s leading politician or army general could visit Kartarpur Sahib and make some symbolic gesture for the Kartarpur Sahib corridor.
More than 10,000 Sikh devotees have already come together at Nanakana Sahib from many countries to participate in the year-long celebrations for Guru Nanak Dev’s 550th birthday next year.
