PM Modi in Bishkek. (@PMOIndia)
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan today (13 June) as part of his two-day visit to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit being held there, reports The Times of India.
On the sidelines of the main summit, Modi will hold discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Recently there was speculation over what flight path Modi’s aircraft would take to reach Bishkek, considering the natural route is through Pakistani airspace. Although Pakistani authorities gave clearance to his aircraft from their end, eventually the decision was made for Modi’s aircraft to take alternate route via Oman and Iran, rather than going over Pakistani airspace.

The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
