PM Modi Launches Several Projects In Haryana, Major Focus On Healthcare

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday (12 February) laid foundation stones for several development projects at Kurukshetra in Haryana, reports NewsOnAir.
Modi inaugurated a state-of-the-art tertiary cancer care-cum-research centre, the National Cancer Institute, at Bhadsa in AIIMS Jhajjar campus.
The 700-bed hospital will reportedly have surgical oncology, palliative care and nuclear medicine facilities, besides lodging facilities for doctors and attenders of patients.
In Faridabad, Modi also inaugurated the Employees' State Insurance Corporation's (ESIC) medical college and hospital. This will be the first ESIC medical college and hospital in north India. It is envisaged as a 510-bed hospital and will have top class facilities.
Also, the foundation stone of a National Institute of Ayurveda in Panchkula, being set up at Shri Mata Mansa Devi Temple Complex, was laid by the PM. It is touted to be a national-level institute for Ayurveda treatment, education and research.
The foundation stone of the first university relating to the Indian system of medicine in Haryana, Sri Krishna Ayush University in Kurukshetra, was also laid by Modi.
Additionally, another foundation stone was laid for Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay University of Health Sciences in Karnal.
The PM also laid the foundation stone of 'Battles of Panipat Museum' at Panipat to honour heroes of various battles of Panipat.
He also presented the Swachh Shakti awards to women sarpanches from across the country in Swach Shakti 2019 programme.
Swach Shakti, a project aimed at empowering women, is a national event which is attended by women panchs and sarpanchs from across the country.
