Gangambike Mallikarjun
BBMP engineers were taken to task by the newly elected mayor Gangambike Mallikarjun, over the poor quality of pothole filling work in the city.
She, while talking to the media, claimed that construction workers were better than the engineers as the quality of work done by the engineers was very poor and that officials should immediately take measures to fill the potholes soon.
“I will conduct inspection soon. If the quality of the work is poor, the officials should fill the potholes again with quality work. I give importance to cleanliness. The garbage issue should be solved, and the black spots should be brought down," she added, as reported by DH.
A review meeting later was conducted by Gangambike later in the evening along with BBMP commissioner N Manjunatha Prasad and other officials.
Details of ongoing development projects were taken down by the mayor who then directed officials to complete them within the deadline. She added that the tree census would begin from November 1 to find the number of trees in order to protect them.
