Reliance Jio has introduced a special short prepaid plan for Amarnath Yatra pilgrims to stay connected to their loved ones during the journey that starts in India and ends in China.
Under the plan, the user is given 500 MB data daily for Rs 102. The validity of the plan is seven days. After breaching the 500 MB data limit in a day, the speeds go down to 64 Kbps. Apart from this, the subscribers get free local and STD calls, and 100 messages per day, reports India Today.
Since in Jammu and Kashmir, roaming services on prepaid numbers from the rest of the country aren’t allowed, visitors to the Amarnath caves have to get a new connection in the state itself . Often they have to take up expensive recharge plans with long validity in order to stay connected. In order to address such customers, Jio has launched this plan.
Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
