One of the representatives of the National Restaurants Association of India (NRAI), which initiated the #logout movement against restaurant aggregators, said that restaurants will continue to boycott Zomato Gold even after the company offered to make some changes were made to the programme, reports The Economic Times.

On Tuesday (20 August), a meeting took place between Zomato and NRAI representatives, but no mutually agreeable solution was reached. As per a statement by the latter, they want the “deep-discounting phenomenon” to be completely done away with.

Zomato on the other hand has agreed to make some smaller changes to Zomato Gold, listed in an email sent to restaurants.

The ten steps proposed in the Zomato email include limiting use of Gold to once per day, permitting a maximum of two Gold accounts to be used at one table and bumping up the price for programme to Rs 1,800.
