Manturov added that training centres had already been established in India to prepare operators of the missile system.

“In general, all commitments undertaken by the parties, including the payment, are being fulfilled in full,” Manturov said.

India and Russia had in October 2018 signed a $5 billion agreement for five S-400 missile defence system.

Earlier last week, a Russian official had said that the county is planning to start deliveries of the S-400 system to India from late next year.

“The first batch is scheduled for delivery by the end of 2021,” Vladimir Drozhzhov, the deputy head of Russia’s Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation had said, reports Moscow Times.
