Seven New Kendriya Vidyalayas To Soon Start Operations In Arunachal; To Improve Primary Education, Reduce Dropouts

Union Minister for Human Resource Development Prakash Javadekar has stated that seven Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV) proposed in Arunachal Pradesh by the state’s Governor Brig (Retd) Dr B D Mishra will begin functioning within this financial year, reports India Today.
The minister gave his assurance to the proposal during a call from the governor, asserting that a cabinet meeting regarding the plan will be moved soon. The areas where these KVs will be opened include Kurung Kumgey, Dibang Valley, Namsai, Upper Subansiri, Anjaw, West Siang and Upper Siang districts.
Javadekar said that the central government is dedicated to improve the state of primary education and reduce the dropout rate in Arunachal Pradesh.
The governor also spoke to the minister about a request for three Navodaya Vidyalas in the newly carved districts of Shi Yomi, Lepa Rada and Pakke Kessang, with the latter also giving his assurance about the cabinet discussing this plan in its next meeting.
Governor Mishra also brought up the issue of the opening of the state’s sole Government Law College with the Bar Council of India Chairman Manan Kumar Mishra, which has been delayed from last year due to lack of approval from the BCI.
The chairman gave his assurance that an inspection team will be sent to the college in earnest.
