Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah on Tuesday in the concluding address of JanRaksha Yatra questioned whether Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has come in power to kill BJP and RSS workers.

Shah asserted that no matter how much the Kerala government tries to corner the BJP it will not be able to stop its ideology from spreading in the state.

"If Left parties have ceased to exist in this country, then it is due to political violence. Pinarayi Vijayan ji more you will sling the violent mud, more the lotus will bloom. You can do as much violence you want, but you can't stop BJP's ideology to grow in Kerala".

Asking whether Chief Minister Vijayan will take moral responsibility for the killings of BJP-RSS workers in the state Shah urged the former to compete by brining development and not by brewing violence.

"Will Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan take moral responsibility of BJP-RSS workers being killed by CPM? If the Chief Minister wants to compete, then do with development not violence. The politics of violence has taken place where the CPM government ruled," Shah said.

"This Janaraksha was started on 3 October in north in Payyanur and today ends in south (Kerala) in Thiruvananthapuram. In 15 days, 140 kilometre was covered by this rally. Why have we started this yatra after 70 years of independence? When our party workers work for the benefit of Kerala, they are pushed into the valley of death," he added.

Shah also took the occasion and held Vijayan accountable for the finances bestowed upon the state by the 14th Finance Commission.

"One Lakh crore finance was given to Kerala by the 14 finance commission. I ask Vijayan to give justification of the usage of the funds," Shah said.

Shah further questioned Vijayan that why is he not instigating action against the culprits of solar scam.

"Vijayan must reply which deal has he cracked with Congress that no action is being taken against the Solar Scam accused," he said.

Earlier in the day, Amit Shah joined the party's JanRaksha Yatra on its last day in Trivandrum.

The 'padyatra' was organized by state BJP unit to highlight alleged political killings being carried out in Kerala under the LDF government.

The padyatra was flagged-off by Shah on 3 October from Kannur district.

A host of BJP leaders, Union Ministers and BJP chief ministers, have participated in the yatra at different stages that passed through the length of the state. (ANI)
