The Golden Temple in Amritsar is setting up a Shaheedi Gallery in its premises where the portraits of 890 people including 50 women who killed during Operation Bluestar will be displayed , Hindustan Times has reported.

The Gallery which is being setup by the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabhandak Committe (SGPC) on the demand of Damdami Taksal will include that of the militant leaders Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, Amrik Singh and retired general Shabeg Singh.

Sarchand Singh, the spokesperson of Taksal, which was earlier headed by Bhindranwale, told Hindustan Times that work on the gallery was ongoing. He added that they had three lists of those killed, prepared by the Dal Khalsa, the SGPC and a UK-based Sikh organisation. Singh added that a list of 890 names had been prepared after synchronising all three lists.
