Preceding Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal’s wedding, the Ambani family on Friday (7 December) began a four day long ‘Anna Seva’ at Narayan Seva Sansthan, Udaipur in which they will feed 5,100 people three times a day.
The ‘Anna Seva’ coincided with the pre-wedding functions of Isha and Anand on 8 and 9 December. For the Seva, family members Mukesh and Nita Ambani, Ajay and Swati Piramal, Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal were present.
The pre-wedding functions of the daughter of India’s richest man was also accompanied by setting up of a specially curated exhibit called the ‘Swadesh Bazaar’ to showcase around 108 traditional Indian art and crafts from all different regions of the country for the national and international guests. The exhibits ranged from the rich Kanjeevaram silk, exclusive Patola, intricate Chikankari to fine Bandhani, reports Times Now.
Nita and Mukesh Ambani have, over the years, supported the Swadeshi Bazaar. This concept encourages the craftsmanship of traditional Indian artisans with special emphasis on crafts which need conservation and revival.
