The Tablighi Jamaat’s transgressions are hampering India’s fight against coronavirus pandemic.
Members of the Tablighi Jamaat who have been quarantined at the Narela quarantine station in North Delhi have been creating ruckus and in one instance even defecated in a corridor.
The two Tablighi members have been identified as Mohammad Fahad and Adnan Zahir, as per Times of India journalist Raj Sehekhar Jha.
Jha adds that the Tablighi members against whom an FIR has now been registered have also been jeopardising all containment measures.
Earlier, Tablighi members have been accused of misbehaving with women staffers at a Ghaziabad quarantine centres by roaming around without trousers, singing obscene songs and asking for cigarettes. The Yogi Adityanath government had later slapped the National Security Act (NSA) against six Tablighis.
A few Tablighi members were also found to have been spitting at and abusing doctors and staffers in a Delhi quarantine centre.
