Two intruders were killed by the Indian Army in a firing across the Line of Control in Jammu’s Sunderbani on Sunday, 21 October. Following this incident, the Indian Army has asked its Pakistani counterparts to collect the bodies. The Hindu has reported that the intruders belonged to Pakistan Army’s Border Action Team (BAT).

A stern warning has been communicated through established channels to the Pakistani Army to refrain itself from infiltrating terrorists from the other side of LoC. The firing took place around noon on the weekend. The Hindu has cited sources from the Indian Army who, based on anonymity explained that six intruders crossed LoC and open fired on the Indian Army patrol in the aforementioned place.

Since the said date, Pakistan has sent infiltrators on at least seven different occasions, where 23 terrorists have been killed. Various reports indicate that there are launch pads on the other side of the border that are trying to infiltrate the border during this winter.
