India’s premier DTH operator Tata Sky has addressed complaints by its multi-tv customers who have questioned Tata Sky for just slashing the price of HD set top box for multiple connections but keeping the price of standard definition set top boxes intact, Dream DTH has reported.

It was earlier reported that Tata Sky was giving a discount of Rs 300 for every secondary HD set top box (STB) bought under its multi-tv scheme. The customers were only required to pay Rs 1,199 for the STB.

This was good news for customers interested in HD connections but at the same time subscribers using standard definition set top boxes were left wanting as the price of a secondary SD box was Rs 2,000, which was Rs 800 more than the HD variant.

Tata Sky has now decided to address this disparity and slashed the price of secondary SD STBs by Rs 700. They will now be available for Rs 1,299, Rs 100 more than the price of its HD variant.
