Tata Sky, Airtel Digital TV And Other DTH, Cable Subscribers Can Reduce Their Bill Via This TRAI App

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has launched a web application for cable and Direct to Home (DTH) users, allowing them to select channels with ease while allowing them to reduce their monthly bills at the same time, the Telecom Talk reports.
The regulator has been receiving backlash over the implementation of the new tariff order which came into effect on 31 January 2019. The move from TRAI is an attempt to boost its new regulation regime.
The Channel Selector Application will help the users optimize their choices while also informing them about the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) of the channels chosen. The application curates a list of channels for the user to pick through a step-by-step process.
Users will have to fill in various personal details such as their state of residence, name, genre preference among others, after which, a curated list of channels will be shown for selection.
The application also has various filters such as language, broadcaster, HD/SD genre and price to enable users to comfortably select the channels they want to watch.
The latest application is useful as it is a place where users can go if they do not know the prices of the channels or their service providers have provided them false or incomplete information.
