DTH provider Tata Sky has launched a Annual Flexi Plan which is a type of a long-duration plan under the new TRAI mandated tariff regime.
If users avail this plan, they would be eligible for a recharge credit equivalent to the monthly subscription cost, Telecom Talk has reported.
This plan is aimed at those customers who had decided to switch from their existing long-term packs to a regular pack after it was initially reported that they won’t be applicable under the new tariff regime.
TRAI though has since then come out to clarify that existing long-term packs need not be discontinued.
Under this new Annual Flexi Plan, the subscribers need to maintain a balance worth their annual expenditure.
For example if the monthly expense turns out to be Rs 300 under this plan then the customer has to maintain a balance of Rs 3,600 to avail this plan.
Subsequently he/she would also be given a recharge credit of Rs 300 which translates into a free TV viewing of one month.
This plan can also be modified at any time but customers need to ensure that they always maintain a recharge balance equivalent of one year worth of expense.
