Tata Sky 4K set top box - representative image (Official Website)
India's leading DTH operator Tata Sky has provided a software update on its set top box to provide new features for its subscribers, Dream DTH has reported.
As per the report, the software has been provided for Tata Sky's HD HEVC cardless set-top boxes. The update includes a revamped "Guide Menu" which will now display trending channels to the viewers and the top channels in every genre like infotainment, sports etc.
It will also contain a Your Top Channels list which will give a shortcut guide to subscribers for channels which they view the most.
One also does not need to go to the guide menu to open the search bar and can simply press the "0" button four times on the remote.
Tata Sky has also fixed an audio bug via which users can retain their non-English preset language while watching high-definition channels.
In case any subscriber has not yet received a software update they can restart the set top box and press the "Back" button followed by 2, 4, 6, 5 or 2, 4, 8, 5 on the remote after the "Please Wait Initialising" message flashes on the screen.
Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
