Ex-Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf has admitted that the Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) conducted attacks in India during his tenure on the instructions of the intelligence agencies.

The Pakistani government ‘intensified’ its ‘crackdown’ against terrorists on 7 March (Thursday), with the government announcing that it has taken ‘control’ of 182 religious schools and ‘detained’ more than 100 people as part of its push against banned groups.

The Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) claimed responsibility for the 14 February Pulwama attack which killed around 40 CRPF personnel.

Pakistan has attracted mounting international pressure after the Pulwama attack. As per reports by Indian Express, Pakistan on 5 March (Tuesday) detained 44 members of the banned militant outfits, including Azhar’s son and brother.

Furthermore, Musharraf hailed the government’s move and said, “This is a good move. I have always said that the JeM is a terrorist organisation and they only had carried out a suicide attack in an attempt to assassinate me. Action should be taken against them.
