The body of London Bridge terrorist Usman Khan has arrived in Pakistan, Sky News reported.

Usman Khan’s body was released by the City of London coroner and was flown out from the city on a passenger plane on Thursday afternoon. The 28-year-old's body arrived on Friday at Islamabad International Airport in Pakistan.

Khan attacked five people, killing two Cambridge graduates, while armed with two kitchen knives

Sky News quoted a cousin of the convicted terrorist as saying that Khan's parents and other close family members would bury the killer in their home village in (Pakistan Occupied) Kashmir.

The cousin was quoted as saying that the parents wanted to keep the burial 'low key' and that 'they don't want to bury him in the UK' because they were 'scared'.

On Tuesday, the family of Khan said in a short statement issued through the Metropolitan Police: 'We are saddened and shocked by what Usman has done.”

In February 2012,Usman Khan was convicted on terrorism charges for his role in plotting to bomb the London Stock Exchange and build a terrorist training camp on land in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir owned by Khan's family. Usman Khan was however released after serving just eight years of his sixteen year sentence and placed in a rehabilitation program.

Khan and two others - all members of an al-Qaeda inspired terror group - received indeterminate sentences for public protection at London's Woolwich Crown Court in 2012.

Khan and his associates planned to raise funds for a terrorist camp in Pakistan and recruit members of Islamic community in Briton to attend.
