During the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Women’s Conclave held in Mumbai on Sunday, senior BJP leader and union minister Sushma Swaraj said that the ‘third surgical strike’ will be conducted by voters in Lok Sabha elections 2019 against the opposition parties, reports Indian Express.
Saying that the nation was safe in the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who conducted surgical strike and air strike against terror camps, Swaraj said that BJP is set to return to power. “The entire nation is chanting only three slogans — Bharat mata ki jai, Vande Mataram, Jai Hind,” said Swaraj.
“From unborn children in mothers’ wombs to gender equality to old women, the government has taken care of all segments during its tenure at the Centre. It has truly lived up to the promise of sabka saath, sabka vikas,” she added.
Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
