Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has liked a tweet which hails singer Rihanna's comments on Delhi's farmer protests while claiming that the pop star has the "Indian government shook".

The tweet shared by a Washington Post columnist and journalist Karen Attiah claims that Rihanna has been "uplifting the oppressed" by speaking on the farmer protests.

Rihanna's actions have been called into question after a dossier accidentally shared by Greta Thunberg showed that Rihanna's tweet was pre-planned by the protesters and that the singer merely copy pasted it.

Jack Dorsey has also liked another tweet from the same Twitter user who has called upon twitter to add an emoji to the hashtag "Farmer Protests" like the one it did for Black Lives Matters and Nigeria's End Sars protes.

These "likes" by Dorsey come at a time when Twitter is under fire for its selective targeting and censorship of Right Wing and conservative accounts.

Twitter had recently banned Trump for allegedly inciting the Capitol Hill violence while it has left accounts of other world leaders from Iran and Malaysia intact - despite them calling for violence.

Twitter has also received a notice from the Electronics and IT Ministry for its violation of Indian law as it unilaterally restored controversial accounts which falsely accused the Narendra Modi led central government of planning a farmer genocide. The accounts were first withheld due to a legal request but were restored hours later.

Dorsey is no stranger to controversy and in his 2018 visit to India, he held a controversial placard which said "Smash Brahminical Patriarchy", which was termed by many as hate speech against Brahmins. Twitter's legal head Vijaya Gadde had subsequently apologised for Dorsey's actions.
