US President Donald Trump's tweet alleging his opposition's attempt to "steal the election" was swiftly restricted by Twitter.
"We are up BIG, but they are trying to STEAL the Election. We will never let them do it. Votes cannot be cast after the Polls are closed!", Trump tweeted.
The tweet soon went viral, following which Twitter slapped a disclaimer on it saying, "Some or all of the content shared in this Tweet is disputed and might be misleading about an election or other civic process."
As seen in the above screenshots, Twitter proceeded to wipe out all the like and retweets from the tweet. Twitter users cannot like or reply to the tweet now.
A few months ago Trump and Twitter were involved in an ugly spat wne the latter marked Trump's tweets with fact-check stamp, including a tweet in which the president raised questions on the integrity of voting-by-mail and suggested that it was susceptible to fraud.
Twitter had also blocked a tweet by Trump on Minnesota Race Riots saying that it “violated company’s policies regarding the glorification of violence based on the historical context of the last line, its connection to violence, and the risk it could inspire similar actions today".
In another tweet today Trump declared that he will win the Presidential polls by terming it a "Big Win". He is expected to make a statement later today.

The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
