UP: CM Yogi Adityanath Announces Setting Up Of India’s Biggest Film City In Gautam Buddh Nagar

In a major development, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced the establishment of the nation's biggest film city in the State's Gautam Buddh Nagar, reports Times of India.

An official statement issued by the state government stated that CM Adityanath has instructed the officials to search for a suitable land for the film city around Noida, Greater Noida or the landmark Yamuna Expressway, and prepare an action plan to for the "biggest and most beautiful" film city of the country.

CM Adityanth issued the order to the officials during a meeting held to review the project under implementation in Meerut division, which includes Meerut, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Hapur, Baghpat and Gautam Buddh Nagar districts.

While taking several key decisions, CM Adityanth directed the Noida Authority to expedite the work of ongoing projects like Noida Convention and Habitat Centre, golf course, and the expansion of metro rail, and also a shooting range which is coming up in Noida's Sector-21A.

CM Adityanth instructed the officials to complete the under-construction Delhi-Meerut expressway end of the year. He also issued the directives for the entire Meerut Metro project to be completed by March 2025, with the 17-kilometres-long priority section from Sahibabad to Duhai to be completed by March 2023.
