Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Yogi Adityanath-led cabinet on Tuesday (3 September) approved the transfer of land for the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University to be set up in an area of 50 acres near Chak Ganjariya farm in Lucknow, reports Asian News International (ANI).
According to the report, of the total land, 20 acre is being provided by the Health Department of the state government, while the remaining 30 acre is being provided by Medical Education Department and Lucknow Development Authority, with each providing 15 acre land.
During a press conference after the cabinet meeting, UP minister Shrikant Sharma said, "the Cabinet has approved the transfer of land for Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University that will be constructed in 50-acre area near Chak Ganjariya farm here,"
Cabinet minister Siddhartha Nath Singh, who was also present during the conference, told reporters that the 'bhoomipujan' of the university will be done by end of this year.
