With Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak disrupting the livelihoods of people across the nation, Chief Minister (CM) Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh (UP) government has decided to provide relief for daily wage earners from the state with monetary support, reports Business Standard.
The state government has decided to establish a mechanism under which the said monetary support would be sent to the concerned daily-wage labourers directly into their bank accounts via real-time gross settlement (RTGS).
For enactment of the same, CM Adityanath has constituted a three-member high-level committee comprising State's finance, agriculture and labour ministers. The committee will be submitting their report to CM Adityanath within a span of three days.
The development was made public by the State's Cabinet Minister Shrikant Mishra in a press briefing after a Cabinet meeting chaired by CM Yogi.
Meanwhile, In the cabinet meeting, it was also decided to ban all forms of protest and demonstrations in the state to protect the general public from this pandemic.
