Uproar In Pakistan Parliament As Imran Khan Government Fails To Mention Article 370 In Anti-India Resolution

Pakistan's Parliament on Tuesday (6 August) witnessed uproar as the opposition parties of the nation objected to the resolution presented by the Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan-led government to condemn India's move to scrap the special status given to Jammu and Kashmir, reports Hindustan Times.
The objection from the opposition was based on the fact that the resolution did not mention Article 370 at all. Taking note of the ruckus in the joint session, the Speaker had to order an adjournment for 20 minutes.
Disgruntled Pakistani Senator from Pakistan People's Party (PPP) said that the resolution did not take note of the basic issue of India's move to revoke the special status of Kashmir, which should have been highlighted.
Later, it was on the insistence of Pakistan's Railways Minister and Speaker's demand that the Government of Pakistan amended the resolution and included a mention of Article 370.
As per the report, the special joint session of Pakistani Parliament was summoned by President Arif Alvi to discuss an alleged surge in unprovoked firing and shelling on the civilian population and the alleged use of cluster bombs by Indian forces in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. However, India has already denied these allegations.
