The Supreme Court on Wednesday (30 September) dismissed petitions seeking a postponement of the UPSC Civil Services Prelims examination which is scheduled for 4 October.
In its order the Supreme Court stated that the petitioners have failed to substantiate their claim of a lack of transport facilities, it also observed that the UPSC has already given candidates an option to change their examination centre. It also dismissed the claim of lack for study material for students by stating that online material was available for students.
The ASG in response said that such a concession will be considered and a decision over the same will be taken expeditiously.

The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
