Tourists, as well as locals at Varanasi, would soon be able to view the Ganga Aarti at Varanasi ghats and the Pooja at the Kashi Vishwanath temple live-streamed at various vital spots of the city on LED screens, reports Economic Times.

This step is expected to add value to the transformed city, a perennial tourist attraction.

The move reportedly comes after the Prime Minister's office received complaints that people were unable to witness the evening Aarti at the ghats and Kashi Vishwanath temple due to huge crowds.

The proposal is to cover the ghats and the temple premises with cameras and broadcast the live proceedings on large LED screens to be installed within three months at more than a dozen significant spots like the revamped Manduadih and Cantt Railway stations, other important ghats like Tulsi Ghat and Samne Ghat and various other major road intersections in the Varanasi city.

Aarti is conducted twice a day at the Dashashwaedh Ghat and Assi Ghat, seeing the presence of Indian and foreign visitors who also visit the Kashi Vishwanath temple, government is mulling IT solutions to facilitate people to partake in these comfortably.
