A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officer Kashyap Kadagattur on Wednesday (11 September) tweeted a video showing free movement of citizens near GB Pant hospital in Srinagar, summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir.

Kadagattur wrote, “Today's first video update from GB Pant Hospital, Srinagar. One can see men, women n kids visiting hospital on foot/vehicle, seamless movement of traffic, gathering of people, no stoppages anywhere and presence of pushcart vendors. Today's newspaper shared in the video.”

The restrictions were lifted in most parts of the valley including Srinagar on 9 September, 36 days after the end of the special status of J&K by abrogating Article 370. However, some parts continue to have tight security owing to intelligence reports of infiltration of terrorists.
