[Watch] Blast From The Past: Chidambaram At CBI Headquarters’ Inauguration, Where He Was Taken Post Arrest

Former union minister P Chidambaram was arrested last night (21 August) by a team of CBI officials and taken to the agency headquarters in the national capital for interrogation in the INX Media scam.
This resulted in many pointing out the irony in the situation as it was the then home minster P Chidambaram under whose stead CBI’s new headquarter was inaugurated back in 2011.
A file footage of Chidambaram attending this inauguration was shared by ANI.
The new headquarters were inaugurated by the then prime minister Manmohan Singh and as seen in the above video, was attended by erstwhile union ministers like P Chidamaram and Kapil Sibal.
Currently, Chidambaram has been produced before a special CBI court in Delhi’s Rouse House Avenue. CBI has sought a 5 day custodial remand and is being represented by Solicitor General Tushar Mehta.
