As protests against the Supreme Court’s diktat on Sabarimala rage on, allegations of Kerala Police resorting to violence against peaceful protestors continue to pour in.

The latest in the series is a video showing how peaceful devotees are roughed up by the Kerala Police officers even as the protestors plead with folded hands.

The video shows the devotees peacefully assembled and engaged in chanting of holy hymns, the standard method of protest that has been adopted by the movement under the state police officers’ watch. However, the Police soon resorts to dispersing the protestors at which point commotion ensues.

The area is soon cleared out as more and more policemen throng the site as several protestors are detained and others dispersed. The policemen are also seen dragging away a few protestors, unperturbed as onlookers record the violence on cameras and phones.
