India on Wednesday (16 December) night test fired two Prithvi-2 nuclear capable ballistic missiles from Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Odisha's Balasore.
The trials of the Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO) developed surface-to-surface missiles were successful, ANI quoted sources as saying.
The tests were reportedly conducted in quick succession to reconfirm the operational readiness of the tactical missiles.
The tactical nuclear capable missile can strike a target at a range of up to 350 km.
