India's Rafale Fighter Jet (India in France)
The Indian embassy in France on Monday (27 July) shared a video of India's deadly Rafale fighter jets taking off from a French airport to begin their journey to reach the Ambala Air Base where they would be inducted and operationalised.
In the video three Rafale fighter jets can be seen lined up at the airport, following which they begin taking off one after another amid the roar of their twin Snecma M88 engines.
The Indian Embassy also tweeted a video of one of the Rafale's taxiing towards the runway.
The five fighter jets are expected to reach Ambala by Wednesday afternoon with one stop in UAE and would be undergoing air-to-air refuelling. They would cover a total distance of 7,000 kilometres from France to India.
Five additional jets have also been delivered by Dassault, and the India crew is currently undergoing training missions in France. All 36 jets are expected to be delivered by the end of 2021.
Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
