A short film taking on the anti-Hindu myths perpetrated by Dravidianists in the Tamil film industry is going viral social media. The Tamil short film (available with English subtitles) acts as a parody of the recently released movie Kolanji which was criticised for targeting Hinduism under the garb of “social justice”.
In recent days there has been an increasing trend in the Tamil film industry to attack Hinduism, Hindus and Hindu organisations. Some of the filmmakers responsible for these films have been accused of trying to fool the gullible masses in the state.
One such movie - Kolanji, made assertions like Hindu deities in a temple were alien and came from North India and also falsely alleged caste discrimination in the temple’s practices. One scene in the movice also alleges that Dharma Sastras have segregated people.
