Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur in the Lok Sabha yesterday (10 February) called out Congress MP Ravneet Singh Bittu after the latter falsely claimed during his Parliament speech that the new farm laws will abolish Mandis.

"They were asking what is black in these farm laws...they have written that they will abolish Mandis and create private ones instead", said Bittu.

Thakur then quickly interjected, asking him as to where is it written in the farm laws that the Mandis will be abolished.

"Where is it written that Mandis will be scrapped?...aap bataiye na bill mein kahan likha hai (tell me where is it written in the bill", asked Thakur.

"He claimed that it is written in the bill that the Mandis will be scrapped, we want to understand under which clause is it mentioned", Thakur added.

Bitta in response deflected the question and began talking about the growth rate. The Congress MP while failing to back his allegation also said that he back his statement and will not lie in the Parliament.
