In a major development, Shiv Sena has lambasted at its Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) Government alliance partner Congress party's senior leaders Balasaheb Thorat and Ashok Chavan for allegedly trying to create an atmosphere of instability in the state government, reports Indian Express.

In an editorial in its official mouthpiece Saamna, Shiv Sena took to the usage of strong and scathing words to take on Congress party and wrote, "Why is this old cot creaking in Maharashtra? What is the Congress exactly trying to say? What does their complaint, that they should be heard, means?"

Branding the Congress as an old cot with a historical significance, the editorial complained that the grand old party's creaking was getting louder and said, "The chief minister should prepare himself to put up with such creaking."

Adding further weight to the message in the editorial for Congress party, senior member of the Shiv Sena, Sanjay Raut boasted that the Shiv Sena has sent the two leaders a clear message and said, "The two leaders, through their utterances, are unnecessarily trying to create an atmosphere of instability when the three-party government has firmly planted its feet and trying to tackle the pandemic on war-footing."

Meanwhile, Thorat, who is also the State Congress president, he said that the editorial was written with incomplete information and such posts should be written after taking complete information.
