Congress President Rahul Gandhi has been recorded making a gaffe by promising Rs 72,000 crore per year to each poor family under his newly promised NYAY scheme.
A video of the same was shared by various twitter users.
In the video from a campaign rally in Haryana’s Kurukshetra, Rahul Gandhi is heard promising that his party if voted to power will provide each family with an income below Rs 12,000 per month, an annual dole of Rs 72,000 crore.
The Congress party too tweeted a link to his Kurushetra speech wherein he can be heard making the gaffe at 8.42 minutes onward.
He had earlier allegedly made a similar gaffe by promising Rs 72,000 per month to each such poor family under this scheme.
Incidentally, a few days earlier, the Congress president was caught committing a gaffe while with the students of Stella Maris College in Chennai.
When asked what special quality Rahul gandhi imbibes from his mother, he replied that “when you are speaking to a person, look at the world not from your position, but look at the world from your position”.
