Holitech Technology, which is a parts supplier to Chinese cellphone manufacturer Xiaomi, has established its maiden component production facility in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, reports The Economic Times.

Moreover, the company has also revealed that it will invest 200 million dollars over a period of three years to expand its presence in India.

Holitech provides components to some of the world’s largest cell phone companies, and had previously held discussions with the Andhra Pradesh government to set up a plant in Tirupati but could not reach an agreement. But the UP government had extended several incentives to it to set up the plants under the state’s electronics manufacturing policy.

It is believed that the new plant will start production in the third quarter of 2019 and create 6,000 jobs within three years. The company will build 4 factories spread across 25,000 square meters and manufacture flexible printed circuits, capacitive touch screen modules, thin film transistors, and other mobile phone components.
